EVC IV (Electronic Valve
Controller)
In order to achieve the maximum potential
from a turbocharged engine, it is necessary to control the boost levels.
The EVC IV represents the cutting edge in electronic boost controllers,
with the most sophisticated microprocessor and adjustment valve available.
The EVC provides immediate push button selection of preset levels of boost
pressure, plus the availability to return back to the factory boost level.
All boost selections and adjustments are accessible from within the cockpit
of the vehicle, which gives the driver the ability to change boost pressure
"on the fly". Aided by fuzzy logic, the EVC also possesses the ability
to learn the vehicles boost pressure curve. This "learning" feature
allows a maximum reduction in turbo lag without overboosting. Essentially,
the EVC allows the driver to experience the vehicle's maximum performance
potential, at his/her fingertips.
The EVC IV is the 4th generation of the original EVC, which was the first electronic boost controller sold for passenger vehicles. Since its introduction in the mid-80s, the EVC has continued to evolve and is recognized throughout the industry as "state-of-the-art"!
